By Nick Young Love. Oh dear. What have I got myself into here. Am I qualified to talk about love? I have been in love certainly, and have experienced all the highs and lows and the pain of it. Oh yes, there is pain in love and sometimes more pain than anything else. But we all know about that too, right. Many people have been hurt too much or too often to ever trust love again. They just close down and never get too close to anyone in case that pain comes back. That is a real shame because to live without love is sad and sadly there are many people doing it. Some live by that saying 'love like you have never been hurt'. This takes a lot of courage for some people. I mean, how many times do you have to do that. Can your poor old heart stand the pressure of getting hurt over and over again. I believe you must keep doing that. After all, your heart is just a muscle and probably needs the exercise. All jokes aside, I find the alternative just too repulsive.To live life with no one to love. No one to cuddle up to at night. No one to spoil with little treats just because you love them. I can not think of anything worse and have been there for long periods between loves. Ah you say, does that mean then that you can shrug off love like an old coat and go out and find a new love. Of course, if you have to, you must do just that. Love breaks down for many reasons and it can be just one party that loses it. One must move on and not pine forever although the pain can be devastating for a while. And it can be quite a while for some people but the time will come when it fades and the best way then is find a new love and focus on that. It is never the end of the world. Move on because there is something better for you and someone much nicer who you can love with the same passion and who will love you in return. You see, that is the crunch. If you love with a passion you risk getting loved in return with that same passion. And that is what makes all the past pain worth while. You see, we all need to be loved, admit it or not.
